The latest version of Google Glass Enterprise Edition or EE will not be for normal consumers

Last week we got to know that an anonymous piece of Google hardware was logged by the US FFC. Now, the buzz is that the latest version of Google Glass Enterprise Edition or EE will not be for normal consumers and is aimed at businesses only.

What are the expected specs of Google Glass Enterprise Edition or EE?

According to the report, the Google Glass Enterprise Edition will be powered by a faster Intel Atom processor for enhanced performance, and will have a better battery life than before. Additionally, Google Glass EE will also have the ability to connect to an external battery pack which will further extend its battery life for prolonged use. The most prominent part of the filing is the addition of 5GHz and 2.4 GHz Wifi support as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

The new Google Glass Enterprise Edition will reportedly have a big prism display which will reduce the strain, therefore enabling users to use the device for longer hours without hustle. It is not confirmed if Google will improve the resolution but a “better” display can be expected.

Hinting at the upcoming launch of Google Glass EE version, though not confirming it, a Google spokesperson said in an email to Information Week “The (Glass) team is heads down building the future of the product and we’re not commenting on rumor or speculation.”

The latest version of Google Glass Enterprise Edition or EE will be for business purposes, but according to statements by the world’s biggest eyewear manufacturer Luxottica the consumer version sales could begin soon. Google entered into a partnership with the Luxottica Group last year. According to the agreement between both the parties, Luxottica will make racks for computer glasses.
