Preorder your Jolla Tablet running on Sailfish OS developed by former Nokia Engineers
The Jolla tablet successfully collected nearly $US2.5m through Indiegogo crowd-funding, which was started in November last year. The company is formed by the former engineers of Nokia and is now available for public preorder.

Jolla Tablet is powered by an Intel 64-bit quad-core CPU, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM. There are two variants of the tablet one is 32GB and the other is 64GB variant. The tab boasts a 7.85 inch 2,048×1,536 pixel resolution display with 330ppi and will have a 4450mAh battery.
The device is having a rear camera of 5 megapixels and a front camera of 2 megapixels. The tab is having Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi controller and GPS. The latest device by Jolla also features a light sensor, accelerometer, compass and a gyroscope.
Jolla Tab is running on Sailfish 2.0
The tab is powered by the company’s own operating system, Sailfish 2.0. Although it is an independent OS, yet Android apps can run on Sailfish. Moreover, Jolla Tablet can display all running apps on one screen, which will make it easier for you to see what apps are active and you can easily switch between apps.
The Finland based company claims that its own OS Sailfish does not feature any back doors or other ways by which the data of users’ can be stolen or spied on.
How much does the Tab cost?
If you are interested in buying Jolla Tablet, you can preorder the tab today for €267 through its Jolla Online Shop. However, the price will vary according to your location. Preorders are open to people in the Australia, Canada, EU, Hong Kong, India, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and the United States. The shipping of the device will be started in October.
