Unlike, the Moto X Play, the phone has a metal body much like the 2014 version of the device. And flagship smartphones that are around Rs. 39,000 like the new Nexus 6P from Huawei, just don’t sell that well in that market. The company promised that the “Style” edition of the Moto Play was coming to India and indicated that it will try to launch the product before the festival season in India. But we can all read in between the lines.
The Moto X Style runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Moto actions and has a non-removable 3000mAh battery. Yes, they used that hashtag. But Motorola is a pretty big smartphone maker over in India, so perhaps they could do rather well over there.
After having launched the Moto X Play in India, Motorola is all set up unveil the Moto X Style and has already created a buzz about it. Motorola India said on Twitter on October 2, “Get ready to live life to the fullest & party in 15 minutes flat with the Moto X Style”. It is available for $399 (unlocked) for the 16GB variant in the USA, which suggests that it will be priced around Rs 26,000 at launch.
Motorola Moto X Style sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) TFT Display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There’s also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor inside powering the show with 3GB of RAM. It comes in 16/32/64 GB in-built storage options, which can be further expanded up to 128GB.
