We’ve heard a number of rumours about Microsoft’s upcoming phablet flagship and a lot of the supposed specs have now been reiterated by a leaked screenshot. Now, it seems that the report could be accurate, as a Spanish retailer Ecomputer.es has leaked the pricing details for the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL.
The Lumia 950, 950 XL and Surface Pro 4 may not be the only devices that will be released during this event.
Just to recap, the Lumia 950 is said to sport a 5.2 inch display and support a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with a pixel density of 424 ppi.
Other features of the Lumia 950 XL that separates it from the Lumia 950 are the Iris Scanner for Windows Hello and a 3,300 mAh removable battery.
Also, rumors indicate that the Lumia 950 XL will have the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset, which is one of the best available this year. It is said that these devices will have a polycarbonate plastic body but most likely will have a metal frame, although dimensions were not yet disclosed. And now we have yet another evidence regarding the presence of the Lumia 550 handset, as four press renders of the device touting four vibrant colours – white, red, blue and black – were spotted.
The legitimacy of the prices is still questionable, but seeing as these are Microsoft’s flagship smartphones, it is a huge possibility. Until then, users of 7-inch tablets will feel the lack of regular win32 apps whether they run on an Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) or ARM device, says SlashGear. Like for instance, both devices will have 3GB of RAM, quad-HD resolution display and 30-megapixel rear camera with PureView technology and 5-megapixel front camera.
While the limelight has been stolen by the likes of Cityman and Talkman, it’s no question that the Lumia 550 stands as a solid offering for those looking to get into the Windows experience without shelling out the big bucks. It’s rumored to be unveiled on Microsoft’s October6 event and interested people can watch it live via the official website.
