Microsoft announces biggest update for Xbox One

Microsoft announced that it is preparing for the biggest update for Xbox One, which will be released in November.

Microsoft said in a statement regarding the biggest update for Xbox One:

“The upcoming upgrade will be a completely re-imagined Xbox One, inspired by your feedback, brings the fastest and most social Xbox experience ever.”

New features added:

With the biggest update for Xbox One coming in November comes a new Guide, just by double tapping or pressing left Xbox button on the controller from Home, you can access friends, get to settings, see system notifications and much more.

Microsoft has improved the Home screen by introducing a faster, easier interface with access to recently used apps and games.

Community section has been added to make Xbox One even more social. In this section, you will be able to see what other gamers are doing on Xbox Live, keep track of the games you follow and much more.

Mike Ybarra, Director of program management, said:

“At Xbox, we put games and gamers at the center of everything we do. We are inspired by your passion and continue to listen to your input. The New Xbox One Experience will be powered by Windows 10, elevating the gaming experience.”

Preview members who opt in will gradually receive these changes, starting with those who submitted the most feedback. The new backward-compatibility function, which was announced at E3 will be available to those preview members and they will be able to play over 100 Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One. In future more Xbox 360 titles will be available on Xbox One.
