Google and Facebook Offer Assistance for Nepal Survivors

Recently, Nepal was hit by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake. This is among the strongest earthquakes that hit land. Due to the high magnitude, Nepal suffered from damages and deaths.

Though many people who have gone missing are already assumed dead, we still cannot deny the possibility of finding survivors. In this emergency situation, internet services are now offering their help in order to help find survivors.

Two of the internet services that have offered their help are Google and Facebook. Facebook has offered its newly unveiled feature called the Safety Check. This feature will tell you whether your contacts in a certain area are alright or not.

On the other hand, Google used their longstanding Person Finder. They revived this one to help Nepal. This one can help you in locating your family, friends and loved ones. It can also assist you in sharing details and news with others.

Even with these, both Google and Facebook have already done a lot for Nepal. There is no doubt that technology and internet-related tools can definitely provide a great difference. Now, it won’t be as difficult as you think it is to check and contact someone. It will also be a lot easier to share and read news with others now. Communication will be done in a lot more convenient way.
