The search engine giant announced an update which will solve your problem of short term memory loss. If you are in the habit of forgetting event timings or if there is any changes in the events and you are not notified in time, I got some good news for you. Now, Gmail will automatically update Google Calendar events for you.
The update announced by Google, which adds events to Google Calendar is based on the info in your mails sent to your Gmail account.
Gmail will automatically update Google Calendar events:
Now, when you will receive an email in Gmail with restaurant, hotel, flight or any ticketed event info, a Google Calendar event will be added automatically with the important data pulled right into the description. Google Calendar will also update the events if there are any changes in the plan; when a new mail is received regarding that.
So, just chill out! You don’t have to worry about creating Google Calendar events, including important information like flight numbers and check-in times. Additionally, you do not have to make any updates for your events; the system will do it for you automatically.
Gmail will automatically update Google Calendar events and the search engine giant said:
“The Internet has made business travel — booking flights and hotels, reserving restaurant tables, buying event tickets, and more — infinitely easier. Adding that information to a calendar, on the other hand, has remained time-consuming and tedious, typically requiring people to copy and paste information from various confirmation emails.”
The Events for Gmail is enabled by default and the events, which are added to Google Calendar from Gmail will be visible to calendar owners only. Users can also adjust visibility settings, delete any unwanted event or disable the feature altogether.
Gmail will automatically update Google Calendar events and this update is rolling out this week to Google Apps users on Android, iOS and desktop.
