Free Version of Driveclub Rolls Out for Playstation Plus Today but Will Be Available Offline Initially

Driveclub Rolls

In 2013, Sony promised the free version of Driveclub with your PlayStation Plus subscription, but due to a series of online problems, Sony delayed the release. Finally the two year long wait is over and Gamers who wanted to get their hands on the Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will be able to do so from today.

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios wrote on a PlayStation blog “We’ve spent a long time preparing for this launch after some difficult and unexpected set-backs.To make absolutely certain that all players have the smoothest and most stable experience possible we are going to be duly cautious about how we release the game this time around.”

Yoshida added “We know that this might be frustrating after your extra wait already, but hope you can understand that we are taking extra precautions to protect your experience when you do get online. We want to make sure we don’t overload the servers as we invite millions of PS Plus members to download the game tomorrow.”

Driveclub is the most anticipated game by the PlayStation gaming community and they’ve been euphoric about the free version of the game arriving today. Evolution Studios have been working really hard so that Driveclub’s servers wouldn’t meltdown under demand like they did last time. Sony also worked hard to build a multiplayer quality check team for the smoothest and most stable user experience.

Initially the free version of the Driveclub will be available to play on Playstation Plus in offline mode for most of the players and slowly the online mode will be available for all.
