Finally, Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera unleashed in the US
Canon’s first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera launched in 2013 didn’t receive a warm welcome in the US market due to which the company chose not to launch its successor in the American markets. Finally, Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera unleashed in the US after the company’s launch event earlier this year in February.
Specs of the Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera:
EOS M3 comes with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, Hybrid AF III focusing system and Canon’s proprietary DIGIC6 image processor. All these features are also found in Canon’s Rebel T6s and T6i DSLRs. The ISO settings of the M3 are adjustable from 100-12800 and 1080p video recording can be done at the frame rates of 24p, 25p and 30p. The M3 uses company’s new EOS M lens system, which is compatible with older lenses using an adapter.
On the back of the Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera is a 3-inch touchscreen, which can be tilted down 45 degrees and all the way up to 180 degrees for selfies and vlogging. It has got the same battery as that of T6i and T6s. According to the CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association), the battery of M3 is good enough to take 250 shots. The mirrorless camera has also got built-in NFC and Wi-Fi for pairing to tabs and smartphones.
The M3 has a special mode for beginner photographers:
If you are a beginner photographer and want to buy this camera, you don’t need to worry regarding the use of camera’s myriad buttons and dials. The EOS M3 has a Creative Assist mode designed especially for beginners to get the knowledge regarding terms with depth of field, settings using the touchscreen and filters.
Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera will be available in October for about USD$670 and if you want to buy it with an 18-55mm kit package, it will cost USD$800.
