The social media giant, Facebook will never stop amazing us with its new products. Now, according to the latest buzz in the market, the company is currently working on the development of a standalone Facebook Breaking News Notification App.

The company has not yet confirmed anything about the Facebook Breaking News Notification App, but it has been speculated that a few companies have been hired by Facebook to test the app before its official launch.

According to our sources, the app users will be able to follow the publications partnered with Facebook and receive breaking news notifications regarding the topics that they have chosen through the app.

Our sources also reported that the upcoming Facebook Breaking News Notification App will work along the lines of twitter in its alert system. When you will download the app, you will be asked to select publications from which you want to receive news alerts. Once you follow some publications, you are set to go.

As soon as these publications will receive any breaking news, they will instantly create a 100 word notification, containing the headline and a link to the complete article on its website. These notifications will be sent to every mobile device, following that particular publisher.

The intention of the company with its new Facebook Breaking News Notification App seems to be overshadowing the Twitter mobile news app. Although, Facebook is already the leader among all the social networks, but the company does not stop there it wants to be the leader in all areas.
