Dell U3415W

The Dell U3415W monitor is possibly the biggest innovation to monitors since the introduction of the flat screen.

What set the Dell U3415W monitor apart from others on the market are not only its unique curved design, but also its size and resolution. Perfect for not only working, it is quickly becoming the go-to monitor for both gaming and watching moving from.

The 34″ ‘UltraWide’ 21:9 aspect ration panoramic screen has a 3440 x 1440 resolution – perfect form multi-tasking between work and entertainment. UltraWide is just starting to catch on and becoming more and more mainstream and Dell has taken the first big leap to try and capitalize on it.

There are other UltraWide monitors on the market, but they tend to focus primarily on just the monitor size. The Dell U3415W focuses not only on the size but the resolution and viewing quality. The “U” in the monitors title is for UltraSharp, meaning it’s intended for industry professionals like video-editors and graphic designers. This is also the appeal for gamers and people who watch movies from their monitor.

With a price tag around the $1,100 mark, this type of monitor resembles more of a TV cost range as oppose to your typical computer monitor. Dual purpose monitors are becoming more common for people who are trying to save space or want the option to work and play on the same device.

Taking a cue from the newest emerging flatscreen TV’s, the U3415W’s curve increases viewing angles, helping to draw viewers into what they are watching or doing that much more.

Dell monitor users will be otherwise familiar with its aesthetics, having the same look and feel and things like a highly adjustable stand, allowing you to tilt the screen in different directions. Some differences users will find are the bezels, which are comprised of a thin gray outer component and a thicker black panel border.

Also similar to some of the newer monitors on the market, the Dell U3415W has touch-sensitive controls for the monitor’s OSD (On Screen Display) and power state.
