Chiefs RB Ware to start
There have been conflicting reports on Charcandrick West’s status for Sunday’s game against the Bills.
On a positive note, tight end Travis Kelce, who was also listed as questionable after suffering an ankle injury in practice, is expected to play.
Despite being listed as questionable with a hamstring strain, the Chiefs running back won’t play Sunday against the Bills, ESPN reported.
Ware proved his worth in relief of West last week against the San Diego Chargers, rushing for 96 yards and two touchdown on 11 carries.
The 24-year-old West out of Abilene Christian University was signed by the Chiefs after going undrafted in the 2014 draft, starting with the team’s practice squad before getting the call-up earlier this month.
Spencer Ware rushed 19 times for 114 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 12 win over the Bills. With the Charcandrick West (hamstring) out, Ware got the start and handled 22-of-23 backfield touches.
The 6-5 Chiefs are now sitting above.
