Avoiding Spoilers – Spoiler Alert!
In the 1990s, there was supernatural thriller, Sixth Sense. The movie was simply brilliant, the plot and the climax the amazing. But all was ruined as I had already heard the end of the movie when a couple was discussing the movie in the grocery store.
Spoilers ruin movies, TV shows and even games. The same can be said about the latest season of The Game of Thrones. It is the most pirated TV show in the history of television. Due to the popularity of the show, it’s been a treat on torrent websites where people could download it for free. The series was leaked online one day before its official release.
People can be at the wrong place at the wrong time but now, the internet is the biggest medium for spoilers. This includes videos, pictures and chats; the bottom line is that it becomes difficult to hide something.

Google has said that they don’t have any special extensions that will prevent spoiler alerts but there are some extensions out there (third party) that users can download for free. The extensions will be able filter information for the user. This is similar to the “mute” button on Twitter but the mute button does not tune our keywords or hashtags.
