Apple unleashed iOS 9 beta 4 to developers and prevents users from leaving reviews on its App store

Apple unleashed iOS 9 beta 4

Earlier this month, Apple unleashed iOS 9 beta version for public and now, Apple unleashed iOS 9 beta 4 to developers. With this update users’ using beta version will be prevented from leaving reviews on its App Store.

Why Apple is preventing users from leaving reviews on its App Store?

There are many apps that are not compatible or optimized properly for iOS 9 yet, and will not work smoothly until the final version of iOS 9 will be released later this year. So it is quite unfair to developers if people post negative reviews about the app because those apps are not yet optimized for iOS 9. So it is a sensible decision by Apple to prevent users from leaving reviews on its App Store.

Many of the users were disappointed when Apple disabled Home Sharing for iOS devices in iOS 8.4. In the iOS 9 beta 4 version, Home Sharing has been re-enabled for iOS devices. This does not come as a surprise because Apple VP Eddy Cue had earlier promised to bring back the feature. This feature was disabled likely when Apple had an agreement with music labels.

Normally, Apple releases six or seven beta versions before releasing its final version. They have been improving iOS 9 with every update like they added support for multitasking on the iPad, a new improved Proactive search system and a new Notes app on iOS 9 in the last update.

Now, developers can download iOS 9 beta 4 either on the device as an over the air update or through the developer portal. The size of the update files will be between 300 MB and 350 MB. Almost two months are left when iOS 9 will be officially released and the iOS 9 beta 4 is already feeling faster and polished than before.
