The die-hard fans of Mafia series are in for a delightful treat this October as 2K’s Mafia III will be launched on October 7, 2016. It’ll be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC after April; though a specific release date has not been announced.
Mafia series traces its origin back to 2002 when it was premiered for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC platforms. A sequel, Mafia II, also hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PCs in 2010.
A trailer titled “One Way Road” has also been aired and it’s spectacular with outstanding narrative experiences and interactive storytelling.
2K’S Mafia III Marks the Debut of Hangar 13 Games
Hangar 13 Games, a studio that 2K assembled in 2014 is debuting with Mafia III. The project lead Haden Blackman has previously worked as a creative director and producer at LucasArts, which helmed the production of titles like Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

This highly anticipated crime series transports the players to the dangerous world of New Bordeaux amid the 1968 turbulence. This setting provides a powerful and unique backdrop for the series hard-boiled story of crime, loyalty, betrayal, and revenge.
In this crime series, you play as Lincoln Clay, a mixed-race man. The game emphasizes a lot on depicting the racism and prejudice against black people that was prevalent in 1968. But Developer says that the game doesn’t intend to sensationalize racism.

Excited players who pre-order any edition of Mafia III will receive “Family Kick-Back” digital content pack at the launch, which includes 3 exclusive vehicles and weapons to the base game.
The Mafia III Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99 will be available physically and digitally in a limited capacity from select retailers. This edition includes both the game and access to additional, post-release downloadable content and also the Season Pass at additional savings.
The limited Mafia III Collector’s Edition, priced $149.99 MSRP is packed with physical and digital items, which provides a window into the sounds and sights of 1968 New Bordeaux.
It also includes everything found in the Deluxe Edition and the original game score on vinyl, an art book, art prints and much more.
