2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 gets a new Muscular Look and some technical updates, as Chevy competes with the Ford pickups. On its debut in the year 2013, the full-size pickup was voted North American Truck of the Year, and till now its sales are growing.
Sandor Piszar, Marketing Director for Chevrolet Trucks, said in a statement “The redesigned 2016 Silverado will build on Chevy Trucks’ legacy of dependability. It will feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies.”

The new features in 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 include a revamped front end design with bold horizontal elements and a sculpted hood. Chevy confirmed that 8-speed automatic transmission will also be available in expanded engine choices. It will also get an updated Chevy MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, along with some added safety technologies. The company said, 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will not have the dual unit headlights as in the current version and the overall look will be more muscular.

According to the company reports, strong interest in midsize Colorados and Silverados has increased the pickup sales of Chevrolet by 32%. Since the launch of the Silverado 1500 in the year 2013, Silverado sales have increased more than 10% each year and in the first half of 2015, Silverado sales have grown by 14.6%.
